  1. 1. To be able to express ourselves is important because it would be like you're living a life not yourself. Social networking can be good for self-expression if you're shy and are terrified of speaking up. It has been bad because society can say you shouldn't express yourself in this way. It's easier to say that on the internet than in person.

    2. We expect our leader to be good at speaking because they have to be able to speak against other leaders. Being able to speak well can ensure the public they are in good hands. Looking and sounding good on television and radio does make a leader sound better because leaders have the time to prepare what to say rather than in person.

    3. I don't think it should of got an R rating. It shouldn't of because this movie contents are for anyone even though it does have one scene where it constantly says cuss words. It should of got PG-13. It got an R rating because the movie said the F word more than once.

  2. 1.we can express ourselfs in a different way then somepeople because we all have different ways of expressing ourselfs. Maybe because we use different ways like no use of social.

    2. Maybe becuase in case anything were to happen we would trust the leader or if we are under something really bad and we need someone that we will trust. No because in order for us to trust them we would have to have proof of what they did in their past years because they might want us to think that but really they might really want to hurt us instead.

3.I think that it should of gotten a R rating due to drugs like alchol and smoking know should be doing that at all no kids or teens should be seeing that and also it had some F and S words in it. This movie got a R rating beacause it used the F word more than once.

  3. 1. Being able to express ourselves is very important because it allows us to have and develop our own identity. Online social networks have allowed us to express ourselves easier than ever by allowing people who do not like to speak in front of people express themselves over the Internet. Although this way of expressing oneself has been good for others it also is detrimental to some. With the technological advances it has become much easier for people to hide behind their computer scenes and say whatever they want which ends up being a harsher form of bullying.

    2. We expect our leaders to be good public speakers because we look up to them in times of crisis and need them to be able to inform us of a plan of action clearly and calmly so that we are not panicked. Looking good on television and sounding good on the radio makes our leaders more appealing to us because we want someone who can be a symbol of our nation; who can clearly and easily get his point across and get the job done quickly and efficiently.

    3. I do not believe The King's Speech should have received an R-rating because the movie did not contain any horribly life altering material that has scared me for life. All the movie had was a few minutes of swear words that more and more people are using in everyday speech today. According to the MPAA the film received an R-rating because it contained some language.

  4. 1. Its important to express ourselves, so that people know what we like and what makes us who we are. I think that expressing ourselves can lead to a lot of fighting. Back then they didn't have all this social networking, so they didn't fight so much about small things.
    2. We expect our leaders to be good public speakers, so that we can really understand what they are saying. Looking good and sounding good does make our leaders more appealing to us. It shows that they really care about their job and wanting to have a good image as a person. They also look more professional and look like they know what they are doing.
    3. I don't believe the movie deserved an R-rating. There was only one part in the movie that said the F word more than once. According to the MPAA that's the only reason why it received the R-rating.

  5. 1.) Being able to express ourselves is very important, otherwise, when we keep things all bottled up we take all of the anger out at one time. By using the social network to voice our opinions, I think it is both bad and good. It is bad because some people don't like what you have to say, and they go off on you. It is good because if you don't have anyone you can talk to, at least you're getting your opinions out there.
2.) We expect our leaders to be good public speakers, because they should be use to being in public crowds and voicing their opinions too. Yes, because when you look good and sound good then that makes you feel confident and the viewers look up to you.
3.) I missed most of the King's Speech, because I was sick.

  6. 7. Having a means of expressing ourselves is important in order to have our individuality, to show authority, and to express our opinions. Online social networking can be constructive when publicly voicing our opinion because it can make the process quicker and more efficient. However, it can be detrimental to our society as well; when trying to convey a message through social media, a message can be taken in the wrong way. This can be due to not enough explanation or if their was a typo.
    8. We expect our leaders to be good public leaders because we look at them to be powerful and brave individuals that should not be timid to speak in front of an audience. Looking good makes our leaders more appealing to us because it makes them look more presentable and as if they made an effort to seem presentable; it also makes them look more professional. Sounding good makes our leaders more appealing to us because it makes them seem as if they have more confidence and are powerful. This would make us have more trust in them and the decisions they are making.
    9. I think the movie should have received an R-rating due to the cursing scene; that would have been inappropriate and a bad influence for someone under seventeen to see. The MPAA gave this film an R-rating because of the cursing scene, the F word was stated multiple times.

  7. 7. Expressing ourselves allows us to be individuals. We can be our own person. I thinkt that online socail media has made it easier to voice our opinions. However, it also causes problems. People are hurt because of the harsh opinions of others. Also, bad things, such as violence and sexual material are put into movies and the internet and cause people to act certain ways.
    8. We look at leaders to be couragous and protective of the people. If they are not public speakers, they don't seem so bold. People picture leaders loking a certain way and speaking a certain way. They shouldn't look or sound like ordinary people. They need to stand out and look professional.
    9. The movie as a whole, no, I thought that it would have gotten a PG rating if it weren't for the intense cursing scenes. According to the MPAA, if a movie had one F word, it automactially recieves a PG13 rating. However if there is more then one F word in the film, then it becomes R.
